Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse Recently Serviced by Patek, 5738P-001

I have been a watch collector/hobbyist for 20 years and am from Dallas. I’ve realized that most of my watches sit in my safe rather than on my wrist! I have decided to sell about 3/4 of my collection.

My history with this Patek is as follows:

I won this Patek Golden Ellipse from a Sotheby’s auction in December 2024. The watch came with just the box; paperwork was not included. About 8 months into wearing the watch, the winding pin came unscrewed and could not be inserted. Luckily, there is a Patek AD in Dallas. I took my watch in for servicing. The AD sent my watch off to Patek in NYC. Subsequently, Patek NYC sent the watch off to Patek in Switzerland. To be honest, I felt good knowing it was being handled by the finest watch company in the world…unfortunately, this detour took about 6 months. I picked it up after repairs and service in April 2026.

I am selling it, because I’ve worn it once since picking it up in April! Lol. It’s simultaneously masculine and elegant. I love the weight of the platinum. Alas, I hope someone else enjoys this timepiece. Feel free to reach out with questions.
