Rolex Submariner Date Vintage Overhaul 2025, 1680

Vintage Rolex 1680 Submariner. Serial number starts with 524 so it dates back to 1978. Watch had a $3,100+ complete 1 month overhaul in May/June 2025. Has a genuine Rolex top hat acrylic crystal on it that you can see on side views in photos.

“Swiss Only” service dial with the long 12:00 marker that almost touches the coronet is highly collectible as it was part of a less than 2 year run in 1998-1999. Bracelet is in excellent condition as well. Keeps excellent time and is pressure tested but I wouldn’t dive in it as it’s not recommended for vintage pieces.

Includes authentication card from the other site that starts with an E. Original Rolex box, 2 links removed from bracelet, and copy of overhaul receipt/work order are included.

I bought the watch on the other site last year and never wore it out of the house as I guess I’m not as into vintage as I thought I was. I was told the PIP isn’t original, otherwise that’s all I know but it was inspected and includes the Authentication Card.
